If you have had a recent bereavement through the Covid-19 virus you probably have a bewildering range of thoughts and feelings that you are dealing with. You will not have not had much time to prepare for or think about what was happening and the government restrictions on movement may have prevented you from responding in the way you would have wanted to. You may feel very alone and may not be able to connect with your usual support network and coping strategies.
It can sometimes be helpful to talk to someone separate from family and friends, who can listen and give you the time to talk about how you are feeling. There is free service jointly operated by Stafford and District Bereavement and Loss Support Service and Katharine House Hospice.
Their telephone support line is staffed by trained bereavement volunteers and counsellors and you can call them to speak to someone if you are struggling.
They are able to answer or respond to calls from 10.00am -1.00pm Monday-Friday. Outside of these times you can leave a message and they will call you back, as soon as they can.
The telephone number to call is: 07951 928592
They will take your name and phone number and call you back. If they are unable to answer please leave a message and they will call back as soon as they can. Please be aware that they will keep a record of all calls and caller contact details on a secure and confidential database. They will never share your details with anyone else.
